Jake Paul issues one-word response after hearing Tommy Fury vs Darren Till is off

Jake Paul issues one-word response after hearing Tommy Fury vs Darren Till is off

Tommy Fury has announced that his fight with Darren Till is off.

American YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul has appeared to deliver a simple response to Tommy Fury vs Darren Till being called off.

Former Love Island star Fury was set to take on ex-UFC fighter Till in Manchester on January 18 under KSI's Misfits umbrella.

The pair were involved in a feisty press conference last month when Till and John Fury clashed.

However, on Friday morning, Fury shocked the boxing world by announcing that the fight against Till was no longer happening.

He wrote on social media: "I can't believe I'm writing this but I am now not fighting Darren Till on January 18th 2025. For the one simple reason being that Darren has stated over and over that he does not want to abide by professional boxing rules and that if he is loosing [sic] the fight he will resort to kicking and other stupid MMA tactics.

"I am a professional boxer, I have been out of the ring for over a year and I wanted this to be a great BOXING fight for the fans. I have wasted weeks in training camp. We are working hard to get a new opponent and date. I promise to get a better opponent and better fight for you guys. Good news around the corner."

Appearing to react to the news, Paul took to social media and simply wrote: "Hahahaha."

Reacting to Paul's tweet, one fan said: "You lost to this guy btw. Have some shame."

Another tweeted: "Now will Tommy fight Jake again? I think Tommy will continue to duck."

A third fan added: "Tommy pulled out because Jake has offered him more money calling it now."

Someone else wrote: "If you really like that send him an offer."

A fifth commented: "Jake vs Tommy 2."

Boxing manager and matchmaker for Queensberry, Lee Eaton, quickly claimed that Till would still be fighting next month.

He wrote: "JUST TO CLARIFY DARREN WAS ASKED TO SELL THE FIGHT & HE DID - DT EVEN OFFERED TO FORFEIT HIS ENTIRE PURSE IF HE BROKE PROFESSIONAL BOXING RULES - @MisfitsBoxing HAVE CONFIRMED @darrentill2 WILL STILL BE FIGHTING JAN 18th!!!"
