A theory has emerged about a contract clause in Jake Paul's deal to face Mike Tyson and it could change everything.
Paul vs. Tyson is almost upon us as Arlington's AT&T Stadium will play host to their professional bout on Friday.
The clash, which has been sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, will be contested over eight two-minute rounds, with Paul confirming the 'official rules' with a viral social media post.
Fans and critics alike have condemned the fight, including Carl Froch, who believes the fight is 'scripted' and even claimed it's written in Paul's contract that he 'can't lose'.

"I think it's a scripted fight and will last three or four rounds. Jake Paul will definitely win; Tyson might start well but then he'll fall over," he told GB News via Casino.org.
"Paul can't lose. It's in the contract, he can't lose. He is a useless w**ker."
Froch, however, has failed to back up his claims with any evidence.
He also doesn't think the result of the heavyweight showdown will impact Tyson's famed legacy.

"I don't think so, no," he added.
"I think he's unlikely to grab the microphone and start bragging after beating up an old man. If he does, he really does have more deluded energy than I thought.
"Mike Tyson is an iconic name after what he achieved in the sport when he was physically fit and capable, but not at the age of 58."

Former UFC star Brendan Schaub echoed Froch's sentiments about the legitimacy of Paul vs. Tyson as he proposed a drastic rule change.
"You want to get people intrigued with this fight, which they can’t, they keep trying but they can’t. Make it bare knuckle," he said on his podcast. "If Jake gets hit with a bare-knuckle against Mike Tyson, this thing is over because now you’re like ‘are they in cahoots together, is there a fix going on?"
