Barry McGuigan has been confirmed for this year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here lineup and the boxing legend will have to wear red socks on the show.
The full line-up for the ITV show was revealed on Friday and once again there is a strong boxing presence. David Haye, Amir Khan, Chris Eubank and Tony Bellew have all featured in the past and now former featherweight world champion McGuigan is heading into the jungle this time around.
A stacked set of contestants are travelling down under to see Ant and Dec, capped off by Coleen Rooney, wife of former Manchester United and England captain Wayne.

Coleen is reported to be the highest-paid contestant in the history of I'm a Celeb, trumping the £1.5 million Nigel Farage was paid to appear in last year's series.
McGuigan's professional boxing record stands at 32 wins and three losses from 35 fights but his opponents in the jungle will be a whole lot of creepy crawlies.

But instead of boxing gloves, the Irishman will have a different type of equipment to protect him from the bugs. Viewers may have see that celebrities wear red socks while in camp and it turns out there is a good reason for it.
Bob McCarron was a long-time medic on the show and a couple of years back he told Woman’s Own, as per The Mirror, that contestants are likely to be bitten by all sorts of insects such as leeches, which can leave blood stains.
The red socks are to hide blood splatters from the many blood sucking critters in their space, and also hide any cuts, bruises and marks from the viewers watching at home.

Boxer Tommy Fury, brother of Tyson, was heavily rumoured to be going into the jungle but reports claimed he pulled out as he is set to rematch KSI after beating him in their first encounter.
