Anthony Joshua declared that Laura Woods is his "dream date" as the two sat down for a flirtatious interview following the Brit's victory over Jermaine Franklin on Saturday.
The victory was AJ's first since December 2020, ending a run of back-to-back defeats suffered at the hands of Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
The obligatory post-fight media duties took place following the 33-year-old's victory, but as he sat down with Laura Woods, the conversation soon moved away from his performance in the ring.

Woods was conducting media duties for Kugan Cassius' IFL TV and it didn't take long for Joshua to shoot his shot with the 35-year-old.
Joshua set the tone early in the interview, declaring that usual interviewer Cassius "isn't as pretty" as Woods, stating that he has "a face for radio" to which the duo burst into laughter.
After a brief conversation about Joshua's victory, Woods proceeded to ask AJ who his "dream date" was, and he didn't hold back in his response:

"You" the Brit responded, before adding "I know that [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek has beaten me to it" a comment made in response to Woods publicly declaring her desire to secure the Chelsea midfielders phone number after he also admitted that the presenter was his celebrity crush.
Woods appeared to distance herself from the footballer, adding "it's fine, there's no competition" before Joshua continued his pursuit of Woods asking: "are you in a relationship?"
Woods quickly confirmed that she is not in a relationship, though she added "I'm too focused on work" to which Joshua agreed, prompting Woods to joke "we've got so much in common!"

Joshua explained that he has opted against committing to a relationship throughout his career in order to "keep his head where it needs to be" with regards to his boxing career:
"With boxing, I feel, I never wanted to commit [to a relationship] and I'm busy arguing with my Mrs or something and then my head's not in the game so I just decided to keep my head where it needs to be."
It appears as though thoughts of a relationship will remain on the back-burner for now, as Joshua's victory over Franklin ensured that he would not have to retire, as he promised he would if he fell to a third consecutive defeat inside the ring.
The victory puts AJ back on course for another shot at the world title, the future of which remains uncertain after talks over a unification bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk broke down last month.
