Anthony Joshua takes on Jermaine Franklin at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday. But how much will each fighter earn?
The British fighter is retaking his first steps towards the pinnacle of the heavyweight division, having suffered two straight defeats to unified champion Oleksandr Usyk in his last two bouts.
Joshua tasted defeat against the Ukrainian on points in September 2021, losing his heavyweight titles in the process.

The following year the Watford-born fighter failed to reclaim his belts, having been outpointed by Usyk for a second time.
But Joshua is returning to the ring on Saturday, taking on American 29-year-old Franklin, who narrowly lost to Dillian Whyte back in November.
Joshua has been the poster boy of British boxing and a household name in the division over the past decade.
But how much will he earn for his comeback fight against Franklin?

According to Sports Lens, Joshua is set to earn roughly £10million for Saturday’s bout in London.

Meanwhile his opponent, Franklin is set to receive approximately £800,000.
However, the American could see his fee rise to £1million should he spring a surprise victory over his opponent.
While Joshua is set for another major payday the 33-year-old has earned more than six times Saturday’s purse in the past.
Indeed, his rematch against Andy Ruiz, saw the Briton boxer earn £66million, according to the Mail Online.

Meanwhile, in the first of his two fights with Usyk, Joshua allegedly earned £15million, before receiving a minimum of £33.2million for the rematch.
Overall, The Telegraph reported that Joshua has earned roughly £200million throughout his 10-year career.
