Anthony Ammirati has caught the attention of many at the Olympic games in Paris but sadly for all the wrong reasons.
The pole vaulter, 21, attempted to clear the 5.70 metres on Saturday when his knee and manhood ruined his chances of a medal.
Bowing out in an eventual 12th-placed finish, images of his tattoo have set the imagination of fans into overdrive.
Whilst his manhood seemed to play a part in Paris, eagle-eyed fans have spotted some body ink that perhaps explains all.

The athlete seemingly has a tattoo of a long snake wrapped around his arm and supporters have since added fuel to the fire.
Ammirati has also gained a whopping 120,000 followers on Instagram thanks to his appearance at the Olympics.
With his tattoo now perhaps making more sense, one user wrote on X: "Anthony Ammirati will never have to explain the forearm tattoo again. Message received and understood."

"Never forget: This is the moment when the tattoo made sense," they added.
"I am sure he will be compensated at the Olympic Village."
Others noted it was a reference to his trouser snake. Classy.

Ammirati could hide his disappointment after his elimination, admitting he did all he could to help his chances.
"I’m a bit gutted, because I didn’t miss anything on the third attempt at 5.70 m.
"What I did miss was a bit of jumping in training to fine-tune the settings. Just a technical session," he told the French Athletics Federation.
"I was 100 percent physically, but I was missing a bit of pole vault.

"The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress.
"As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to interact with the audience. I was almost there," he added.
You certainly were, Anthony...
