Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is growing increasingly agitated at the club's lack of transfer market movement, according to journalist Matt Hughes.
The transfer window has only just opened, but the Daily Mail reports that the Gunners’ boss is growing impatient at the lack of activity.
Arsenal’s main transfer targets - Gabriel Jesus and Youri Tielemans - were widely reported before the season had ended, with the board supposedly waiting to see what European competition would be gracing the Emirates turf next season before they took the next steps in making signings.

However, it has been several weeks since the season ended, and thus far all is quiet on the incoming front.
The Gunners’ American ownership Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) are said to be insisting on approving all major transactions, which Arteta fears could lead to his side missing out on major targets.
In recent days alone, Gabriel Jesus has been touted as potentially moving to both Spurs and Chelsea, and with both clubs having the appeal of Champions League football, Arsenal will certainly need to move quickly if they want to secure the services of the talented Brazilian.

That said, the rapport between KSE and Arteta is excellent, highlighted through the contract extension offered to the Spaniard in the aftermath of three consecutive defeats, with Arteta saying:
“The club offered me the new contract when we lost three matches and that shows the belief that they have in myself and the coaching staff and what we are doing.
“I just said these guys are serious and they are committed so I'd better push forward. The people that we have now owning this club and leading this club, I haven't ever seen it and I just got emotional when I saw it.”
The Gunners’ boss will be hoping that the board doubles down on this seriousness and commitment. Having achieved fifth with by far the youngest squad in the league, the next step is to add ready made talent to fire the Arsenal forward.

The transfer window has plenty of time left, but Arteta is wary that his primary targets can be easily poached at any moment, so for KSE, it’s time to continue to practice what they’ve preached.
