Gabriel Jesus is set to join Arsenal with the club agreeing a £45 million transfer with Manchester City, first reported by the reliable Fabrizio Romano.
After a long, drawn out saga, the light at the end of the tunnel is finally in sight in the transfer saga of the summer so far. The Gunners are set to get their man, Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus, after agreeing a few with current club Manchester City.
There has been confidence at London Colney for some time that a deal could come to fruition, however, until a fee was agreed between the two clubs things could never be taken for granted.

It may well be that Manchester City’s pursuit of Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips has sped up the deal, with the Citizens keen to reinvest the money from their Brazilian sensation quickly. The blue half of Manchester will be a happy party themselves in this matter, doubling their profits on the former Palmeiras man.
The 25-year-old would join Arsenal as the main man, although Eddie Nketiah will be determined to fight the Brazilian for the starting berth upfront at the Emirates, having himself just signed a long-term deal with the club.
Whilst a deal is agreed, it is thought an official completion of the deal is a while away yet, with the deal expected to be completed in the “next 7-10 days”.

Fans will no doubt be nervous and uncertain until they see Jesus holding the Arsenal shirt, with a behind the scenes video at London Colney to boot. However, it’s fair to say that at this stage, the transfer is a matter of when rather than if.
