The worst kept secret in football is finally set to be made official, however not without making fans wait one more day. Arsenal fans have been longing all summer for the arrival of Gabriel Jesus and, if all goes to plan, it will be announced tomorrow.
Arsenal have been embroiled in a transfer saga with Manchester City and their star striker since the transfer window opened — but it now looks like Mikel Arteta has finally got his man.
It seems the Brazilian striker had been on Arteta’s wishlist for a long time, and the need for his signing intensified following the departure of Arsenal’s former number nine.

Alexandre Lacazette left the Gunners for Lyon following the expiration of his contract and it appears Arsenal have got their dream replacement in the bag.
It also appears that the North London side’s new man will take the famous number nine shirt which Lacazette left vacant upon his move back to his native France.
Arteta had previously worked with Jesus at Manchester City, and the 25-year-old must have left a lasting impact on the Spaniard, with the pair now reuniting three years down the line.

It is a move that looks set to transform Arsenal’s new look side under Arteta with the striker ticking all of the Arsenal boss’ boxes.
The Brazilian is able to play anywhere across the front three, is able to press from the front and, most importantly, will be able to bring Messrs. Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard and Gabriel Martinelli, among others, into the final third with his strong link-up play.
As well as all this, Jesus will provide the Gunners with some much-need added impetus in front of goal, something that has been missing from Arsenal’s centre forward position in recent years.
Questions have been raised about whether Jesus will fit into Arteta's system and whether he has the goalscoring threat Arsenal have missed in the last season.

Arteta will hope that Jesus gets off to a good start.
