With a jam-packed season looming, Reiss Nelson is set to be given another chance to impress for the Gunners.
The Hale End graduate was once destined for great things by all those involved at Arsenal, but things haven’t quite materialised the way that everyone expected.
However, according to Arsenal writer Art de Roché, Nelson will be given opportunities to star for his boyhood club this season.

When the 22-year-old was making a name for himself in the Arsenal youth teams, there were plenty of reasons to be excited.
Clips of Nelson would constantly circulate on social media, mainly of him scoring worldies or toying with defenders - and quite often both at the same time.
Players clearly couldn’t cope with his trickery.
Following an incredible campaign Nelson won the 2017/18 PL2 Player of the Season, was handed his senior Arsenal debut.

A breakout season in the first team began to look inevitable.
Yet, for reasons unknown, he hasn’t been able to translate his magnificent youth team form into senior football.
Regular first team minutes have been few and far between at Arsenal.
Loans on the continent at Hoffenheim and Feyenoord also haven’t gone according to the script.

Yet, despite all this, Nelson could find himself with an opportunity to finally show Mikel Arteta and Co. what he can do.
After qualifying for the Europa League, the Gunners will find themselves with an influx of games following a yearlong hiatus from European football.
Nelson will be amongst those vying for rotation minutes.
A string of good performances in this competition could see the skillful winger climb the pecking order of Arsenal’s attack and potentially leapfrog others into the Premier League squad.

Nelson will also be a part of the Arsenal pre-season tour squad and already impressed in the 5-3 win against 1. FC Nurnberg last week.
Nelson is one of a number of players returning to Arsenal from loan spells last season.
Should an offer arrive for the winger, it's not clear how Arsenal would react. However, the Englishman can do himself no harm by impressing in pre-season.
