Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has given the green light to pursue Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, according to a report by Football Insider 247.
The report claims Leverkusen are said to price Diaby at a huge £60 million, however Arsenal want to pay less to sign the 23-year-old.
The Gunners hope signing Diaby will complete their attack, as they lack depth at the left-wing position, and Diaby has the ability to play on both sides of the wing.

Arsenal’s current left winger, Gabriel Martinelli opened the teams goal account for the season on Friday night, with a header from close range to give Arsenal the lead.
They went on to add another and win 2-0.
However, Mikel Arteta has made it no secret Arsenal will still be looking to bolster the squad before the window ends, telling Sky Sports after the game:
“We are going to try (to make new signings).
“If we can do them, great. But now its work with the players we have.”

Arsenal’s transfer window has already given fans huge excitement, securing Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from Premier League winners Man City.
They have also bought in Fabio Vieria, Matt Turner and Marquinhos to help improve the depth of the squad.
Moussa Diaby could be a huge signing at the Emirates, starting in the PSG academy and playing 25 times for the French giants, before signing for Leverkusen, where he has kicked on his career.
In 92 league appearances for the German side, Diaby scored 22 times and assisted 27 goals. He has become a key figure in the Leverkusen side and earned himself multiple call ups to Didier Deschamps’ France side, making 8 appearances.

At just 23 years old, he fits the criteria of what Edu and Arteta are trying to build at Arsenal, a young and exciting player that can lead Arsenal to long-waited success.
The Frenchman was a major target for Premier League side Newcastle early on in the window, however Diaby announced he would be staying at Leverkusen, saying:
“I have taken my decision and I will play again for Bayer Leverkusen next season.”

Arsenal however will be hoping to tempt Diaby to a move to the Premier League, despite the previous talk.
With less than a month to go until the window closes, Arsenal will hope to have their squad sorted as quickly as possible to continue their top four charge.
Arteta’s men face Leicester next Saturday and will be hoping they can build on their 2-0 victory at Selhurst park.
