Talks are progressing between Arsenal and Fulham over a move for German goalkeeper Bernd Leno, according to Simon Collings of Evening Standard.
Talks have been ongoing for a long time, with Fulham's approach for the Arsenal goalkeeper first reported in early June.
Leno was reportedly keen on the move and was Fulham's first option.

However, talks have not gone so smoothly and both teams have been locked in a negotiation stand-off.
Meanwhile, talks between Fulham and Leno have been the opposite, the German agreeing personal terms a few weeks ago.
However, the price has remained a sticking point.

Arsenal are reportedly asking for around £11m but Fulham are looking to pay around £8m.
According to TalkSport, Leno even pleaded with the Gunners to drop his price and allow his move to materialise.
However, Collings' recent report claims a breakthrough in talks has been found, and Arsenal may finally be willing to lower their demands.
The report states Arsenal are progressing in negotiations with Fulham over a deal for Leno worth around £8m.

Arsenal have been holding out for around £10m but it's now believed a deal for £8m could be struck.
A drop in valuation will likely received mixed reactions from Arsenal fans.
On one hand, perhaps giving in and dropping your value sets a precedent for other sales this summer, which could hurt Arsenal.
However, sticking to their guns could also force Fulham to move on to other targets.

Leno's departure is in the best interests for every party involved.
The goalkeeper is on high wages and into the final year of his contract, letting him go for free next season would be disastrous.
On Leno's side, the German wants to go to the World Cup with his nation, and sitting on the bench at Arsenal will not help him.
Leno has been a good servant for Arsenal and a high quality player but it appears his time with the Gunners is edging to a close.

The goalkeeper is one of a number of players Arsenal are looking to sell this summer.
