Kevin Campbell has branded William Saliba a ‘top of the range Bentley’ after finally getting to see him in action in an Arsenal shirt.
Saliba arrived at Arsenal amid much in 2019 for a fee of £27M.
Having been sent on loan three separate times to St.Etienne, Nice and Marseille respectively, it would appear the young Frenchman is now firmly part of Arsenal’s plans for the upcoming season.

Former Arsenal player Kevin Campbell was speaking on the calibre of player that Saliba is, and judging by his flattering comments, he expects big things from the centre-back.
Campbell stated:
“I see a difference with him and Gabriel in it.
"I know Ben White did a fantastic job last season, I can’t deny that, but I think with these two at the back, at times we may play a three”.

Saliba has put forward a string of impressive performances during this pre-season and they have also caught the eye of Campbell.
He goes on to claim:
“This guy, Van Dijk with his experience is a Rolls Royce, but this guy has to be a top of the range Bentley, hasn’t he?
"He’s been unbelievable”.

With his most recent loan spell at Marseille proving to be extremely fruitful, Saliba will be hoping to return to North London and become a major fixture of the team.
Having already earned himself a call-up to the senior French squad, he will have his eyes firmly fixed on securing a spot in the squad for the upcoming World Cup.
Saliba also earned glowing praise from his manager Mikel Arteta during the pre-season.

During the tour of America, Arteta stated:
“He was really good. I think he played a really good game, he looked really composed, straight away from day one he looked completely focused, he’s evolved the way we wanted and today I think he had a great performance”.
Arsenal narrowly missed out on Champions League football last year but have bolstered their squad with excellent recruitment.
If they are to reach their goals this year, players like Saliba along with the new recruits will be paramount to that success.
