Man City’s Sterling is on the verge of joining and is ‘excited’ to be on his way to Stamford Bridge as the deal comes down to its final details.

The Englishman could arrive as a replacement for Hakim Ziyech, who is believed to be very close to sealing a move to AC Milan.
The 27-year-old has an abundance of experience in the Premier League, he has scored 109 goals and provided 56 assists in 320 appearances.
He has also lifted the Premier League title four times across his career and is a five-time
English League Cup winner.
As reported by David Ornstein at The Athletic, Chelsea have struck an agreement that will see Sterling sign a five-year contract with a further option of an extra 12 months.

It was previously revealed that he has had very positive conversations with Tuchel which he was left impressed by.
The deal he is signing will see him earn upwards of £300,000-a-week and according to reports from Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph, he will become one of the top three earners in the Premier League.
He will dethrone N’Golo Kante as the highest paid player at Chelsea who currently earns £290,000-a-week.
The west London side are hoping to get the deal over the line so Sterling can join them on their pre-season tour in America which they jetted off for on Saturday.

Chelsea’s business with Man City this summer will not end here though, they are also looking to scoop up their former defender, Nathan Ake.
The Blues have agreed personal terms with the Dutchman and Tuchel sees him as a key figure in the rebuild he has planned.
They hope to get a signing at the back completed by the end of next week and it could mean the Blues raid their Premier League rivals for two deals this summer.

Other options are on the table, with the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Kalidou Koulibaly, Presnel Kimpembe and Jules Kounde all targets, but the talks with Ake are thought to be the most advanced.
