Nottingham Forest have enquired about Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri ahead of a move for the Italian this summer, according to reports.
The wing-back’s future has been thrown into doubt in recent weeks as Chelsea brought in former Brighton and Hove Albion wing-back Marc Cucurella.
The Spaniard made his debut on the opening day of the season against Everton, with Marcos Alonso and Emerson not in the matchday squad.

Alonso has already asked to leave the club, amid interest from Barcelona.
When asked about Alonso, Thomas Tuchel said: "He tries to leave and we agreed to this. It would make no sense to put him on the pitch today."
It was previously reported that Emerson could follow Alonso out of Stamford Bridge this summer, with Lazio interested in a move for the Italian.

Emerson’s former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is an admirer of the wing-back, having made him his first choice for the position during his time in London.
The Italian could look for a reunion this summer, with Emerson now third choice at Chelsea behind Ben Chilwell and Cucurella.
Speaking to Chelsea earlier in the summer, Emerson admitted that he was happy to return to the club.
He said: "I have a contract with Chelsea. I played there for three seasons and I have a lot of friends there and if I come back, I'll be happy.

“It's a good place and club for me. I don’t know, let’s see what can happen."
However, after being left out of the squad for the first match of the Premier League season, there are rumours surrounding his future at the club.
As reported by Nizaar Kinsella of The Evening Standard, Premier League newboys Nottingham Forest have made an enquiry regarding the availability of Emerson.

Steve Cooper’s side have missed out on Real Betis’ Alex Moreno in recent weeks.
This has seen them turn their attention to the Chelsea man, with Harry Toffolo signing from Huddersfield Town this summer at left-back.
The report continues to state that Juventus are also interested in Emerson, but a move for the Italian would depend on Alex Sandro.

The Brazilian, who was linked to Chelsea in the past, could make a return to Italy and is not short of suitors with Forest’s interest.
It remains to be seen as to where he will end up this summer after a successful loan move at Lyon last season, with Chelsea attempting to recall him in January.
