Tom Glick has been appointed Chelsea’s new President of Business, while plans are being made to fill other positions, including the sporting director role which the club hopes to fill before the World Cup in November.
The latest major decision came when the new owners opted to sack Thomas Tuchel after 100 games in charge and to replace him with Graham Potter, now formerly of Brighton & Hove Albion, on a five-year deal.
As the new ownership continues to settle in and stamp their authority, ways and vision on the club, off the field decisions are constantly in the works and the next is in motion in the hope to bridge the gap to their Premier League rivals Manchester City.

As reported by Andy Dillon of The Sun, Chelsea want to set up a network of feeder clubs, by spreading the club’s scouting and development resources across Europe and eventually beyond.
It’s claimed the medium to long term plan is for the club to buy stakes in continental teams with a view to them becoming ‘feeder’ clubs for Chelsea, to give them the pick of the best young talent across the world.

City Football Group are already extremely successful with their model and Boehly is reported to want to copy it as part of his ‘long-range vision’ to make Chelsea a ‘huge global brand’.
Boehly and Eghbali’s appointment of Potter as their new head coach to partner them in their vision highlights their long-term plans for Chelsea, which could now benefit Potter in the selection of players he could have at his disposal in the future.
Following his appointment, Boehly reacted: “We are thrilled to bring Graham to Chelsea. He is a proven coach and an innovator in the Premier League who fits our vision for the Club.
