Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is currently on loan at AC Milan, was stopped at gunpoint by Italian police, which turned out to be a case of mistaken identity.
The 27-year-old, who won the Scudetto with the Rossoneri last season after joining on loan from Chelsea, was stopped by police in downtown Milan.
Bakayoko was seen pinned up against a police car and searched by officers. His pockets were checked and items were removed and placed on the top of the car.

The France international abided to the police's actions, despite being left confused, with one male and one female police offer pointing guns towards the vehicle.
As time passed, the situation de-escalated before another male officer came over to the searching officer to, what it appeared, inform him of who they were holding and searching, which saw him look round to the side to check the identity of Bakayoko.
As shared by Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, he tweeted: "Shocking footage of Milan’s Bakayoko in Milan’s downtown held at gunpoint by police cause taken for someone else.

"Check when one of cop goes telling to the colleague searching him that it’s not the suspect but a Milan player, and the cop saying “WHO?!?”
A statement was provided by Milan's Police HQ who said: “The search, happened on 3 July, was due to gun shooting happened in the area in previous hours, and the two suspected were two men on a guy fitting the description, one of the two was black and with green shirt.
"That’s why the gunpoint.”
Bakayoko's future in Milan remains unclear despite only being one year in to his two-year loan spell at the San Siro.

He made 14 appearances for the Rossoneri last term as they lifted the Serie A tile, however he could be on the move this summer.
Some interest has been shown with Valencia, who are now not interested, and Ligue 1 outfit Marseille also keen.
Reports in France claim that Marseille have agreed personal terms with the central midfielder ahead of a potential summer move.

However, it was also reported that manager Igor Tudor is yet to give the green light, still needing to be convinced by club officials to get on board with pursuing the Chelsea star.
Talks remain ongoing over his future in Italy, with it remaining unclear if he stay at the San Siro for the 2022/23 campaign.
A decision is being worked on to satisfy all parties involved.
