Thomas Tuchel has hinted at further signings in his Chelsea squad amid strong links to Jules Kounde this summer.
The German saw two of his central defenders depart the club last season as Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger left at the end of their contracts.
While Kalidou Koulibaly has already been brought in to sure up the defence, reports have stated that the head coach is eyeing as many as four defensive signings this summer.

The latest reports have stated that Chelsea are in advanced talks with Sevilla over a move for 23-year-old Kounde as an initial bid has been rejected.
There is confidence from those at Stamford Bridge that a deal can be reached, with Chelsea hopeful of spending £50 million on the French international this summer.
They have also been linked with moves for Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe and RB Leipzig youngster Josko Gvardiol as Tuchel plans for the future.

It remains to be seen as to who will join the club during the transfer window, with the head coach now hinting at further additions.
Chelsea have already signed the previously mentioned Koulibaly, as well as bringing in Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
When asked about the potential to make further additions, Tuchel said that he would like more incomings to maintain Chelsea’s position in the Premier League, after finishing third last season.

"I have a figure,” he admitted on the amount of signings required this summer.
“I think we need a couple more players to improve the squad.
"We are third last season. There was a gap. In general, if you want to keep your position or fight, you need to improve."
The German continued to expelled on why he believes that he needs more players, stating: "We even lost players. It is common sense we need to bring new quality to the team to maintain our level, not even speaking about improving our level."

He continued to hint at the potential of bringing in more Premier League proven players, admitting that he is impressed by Sterling’s quick adaption into the Chelsea squad.
"It's always the dream to find players in the same league to adapt quicker.
"We see Raheem knows many players from national team. He is familiar with the habits in English clubs, this is very nice,” he concluded.

It remains to be seen as to who will join the winger at Chelsea this summer, with Tuchel hoping to build a title challenging squad at Stamford Bridge.
