Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has sent text messages to his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Presnel Kimpembe ahead of a potential move to Chelsea, according to reports.
The pair played together in central defence during their time under current Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel and could be reunited this summer.
According to French journalist Olivier Bossard, Kimpembe has received ‘a few text messages’ from Silva to ‘sell him’ the project at Chelsea.

The 26-year-old made 41 appearances in all competitions for PSG last season as they went on to lift Ligue 1 under Mauricio Pochettino.
However, with the Parisians linked to Inter Milan’s Milan Škriniar this summer, Kimpembe could be on his way out of France.
Tuchel is set to be handed control in the first transfer window under the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital consortium and could dip into the market to bring Kimpembe to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea want to try and adopt a style that is used at Premier League rivals Manchester City and Liverpool in the transfer market, allowing their head coach to drive the decisions in terms of incomings and outgoings.
The Blues are in need of defensive reinforcements as the Blues have lost Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid while Andreas Christensen is set to leave and Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso's futures are yet to be decided, with Barcelona interested in the pair.
Therefore, a move for Kimpembe could make sense, especially due to his relationships with both Silva and Tuchel.
Silva and Kimpembe share a strong bond from their time together in Paris, with Chelsea having to rebuild their defence and looking for immediate chemistry at the back.

Furthermore, Jules Kounde of Sevilla has been linked with a switch to London, deemed to be the ‘priority’ signing in the transfer window.
Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana is also believed to be a target for Tuchel’s side, but he is being monitored by Manchester United amid a potential departure from the King Power Stadium this summer.
All those listed have one thing in common, their French nationality, and this could be key to helping the backline settle in, sharing the language and culture with 37-year-old Silva.

It remains to be seen as to whether Kimpembe will make a move to Chelsea, with it looking increasingly likely that PSG’s players will be working under a new head coach next season.
Could Kimpembe decide to swap Paris for London in a sensational reunion with Tuchel this summer?
