Thiago Silva is 'excited' to return to the San Siro to face AC Milan with Chelsea on Tuesday evening in their Champions League clash.
The 38-year-old defender spent three and a half years with the Italian club earlier in his career and has spoken on his emotions ahead of his return to the famous stadium.
"I am very happy and excited to be here again 11 or 12 years after my last time," he told journalists as he joined Graham Potter for his pre-match press conference in Milan.

"All the good experiences I've had here came back to my mind and tomorrow I will be even more excited and moved. It is going to be a great emotion.
"There is great emotion tomorrow night. My wife was very moved when we were in London and we played against Milan.
"So tomorrow night, my wife will cry but in the end I hope we will be able to laugh together after a win.

"That is the most important part of tomorrow."
Silva was part of Graham Potter's Chelsea line-up that faced up against the Serie A outfit at Stamford Bridge last week.
It was a comfortable 3-0 victory for the hosts, with Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Reece James finding the back of the net during the encounter.
Despite this, the former Milan defender has stressed the importance to stay focused ahead of Tuesday's rematch, explaining that Milan will come back stronger in Italy.

"I don't think AC Milan are not highly competitive," he answered when quizzed on the previous fixture. "They had a bad game last week against us, that can happen, but great clubs like AC Milan won't do it twice.
"They had a great result against Juventus, so they are strongly motivated to do a great match tomorrow night," he added.
"I can tell myself and the team that we will need to make great efforts because it is never going to be easy to play here at San Siro against AC Milan."

The experienced defender went onto explain the attacking threat that Milan possess and that they cannot focus on certain players due to the strength of Stefano Pioli's side.
"Tomorrow is is going to be a very difficult match. It will be difficult for us in the defence.
"It’s not going to be easy but that is why we have to be focused.
"We have to be careful of the whole squad because a good team is not only one, two, three good players. It’s the whole squad who work well so we have to be focused on all of them”
