Thiago Silva believes that Chelsea’s controversial draw with Tottenham Hotspur has motivated them ahead of this weekend’s match against Leeds United.
The Blues fell to a late draw against their London rivals in controversial circumstances after Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James scored to put their side in front on two occasions.
However, Spurs equalised the first time after Kai Havertz appeared to be fouled in the build-up to the goal, and Richarlison was standing in an offside position and blocking Edouard Mendy’s view for the visitor’s first goal.

The second equaliser saw more controversy, with Cristian Romero dragging Marc Cucurella to the floor by his hair but referee Anthony Taylor did not award a free-kick, and despite a lengthy VAR check, no action was taken before Spurs scored from the resulting corner.
The result was a frustrating one for Chelsea’s players and head coach alike, with Thomas Tuchel shown a red card after the final whistle, with an altercation with Antonio Conte leading to the pair’s dismissal.
Despite the disappointment, Chelsea defender Silva has admitted that the ‘unjust’ result has left him and his teammates even more motivated going into this weekend’s clash against Leeds, where they will be without Tuchel on the sidelines.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Silva said:"We started the season well with a good away victory against Everton, a good team.

“Now we have played really well, controlled the game, only the final result is unjust.
"We have to keep our heads up, continue to work because on Sunday we have a difficult match at Leeds.
"We are going there in search of the three points."
The Brazilian continued to express his disappointment with the two goals his side conceded, believing that neither should have stood.

"The two goals we conceded were not just,” he continued.
“The first was a foul and a yellow card, not an attack for them, and after Richarlison was standing in front of my goalkeeper.
“He couldn’t see the ball and it went in.

"However, the most important thing to take from the game was that we played well. That gives us a bit more motivation for the future.
"It was an incredible match, a lot of intensity, and we played very well. We controlled it, apart from 10 minutes in the second half when they equalised."
The Blues will be hoping to get back to winning ways at Elland Road as they look to challenge at the top of the Premier League table once again.
