Reece James has revealed what Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has told the squad following the club’s takeover which has seen a new era begin at Stamford Bridge.
Boehly and the consortium replaced Roman Abramovich at the end of May after the £4.25 billion purchase of the World champions.
Change has happened, but how much still remains unclear despite the early reshuffle and rebuild, but there remains a determination to be the best on and off the pitch.

"As custodians of Chelsea FC, we now begin executing our long-term vision and plan for the Club, creating an outstanding experience for its passionate, loyal fans, and continuing to challenge for top honours in line with Chelsea FC's decorated history,” Boehly said last month after confirming the new board.
"Working together, side-by-side, we are firmly committed to winning, both on and off the pitch. For us, that effort has begun."
Work has already begun off the pitch to reshape the club and build on the foundations and high level that was created under Abramovich’s ownership.

No new signings have been made yet, however they are in the works, with Raheem Sterling expected to be the first of the new era.
Chelsea’s goals are to close the gap to Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, to get back to the top of the English game, to transfer their European success domestically.
What the future holds for the Blues remains unclear, but Boehly has outlined his vision for the squad.

They want trophies, more trophies, sustained success.
When asked by Sky Sports what Boehly’s message was to the squad in terms of what is changing under the new ownership, James responded: "That not much is changing. He’s here to win trophies still. Nothing changes from the club perspective."
James added: "He’s definitely spoken to everyone individually, the camp feels stable, and everyone is looking forward to the next season and the new ownership."

Chelsea are currently out in Los Angeles for a week-long camp at the UCLA campus, which will see them travel to Las Vegas to face Club America for the first of three games across the US this month.
Mason Mount joined James in expressing their optimism over the new ownership, adding earlier this month: “It is a new era, so we all feel very excited and, whenever a new season comes around, you are excited about what’s possible.
“I can’t wait to see what happens.”
