Reece James believes that Chelsea have what it takes to win trophies this season after their disappointing draw against rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Kalidou Koulibaly opened the scoring in the first half before Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg equalised, with Kai Havertz appearing to be fouled in the build-up and with Richarlison standing in an offside position in front of Edouard Mendy.

The goal stood and Chelsea fought back, with James putting them ahead with 15 minutes to go after good play from Raheem Sterling.
However, Spurs grabbed a late equaliser after Cristian Romero dragged Marc Cucurella to the ground by his hair, with VAR not overruling the referee’s decision to allow play to continue and Spurs to take the resulting corner and score from it.
Despite the poor result, James admitted that he enjoyed getting on the scoresheet in the London derby.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website on his goal, James said: "I love scoring and I was in the right position. Actually, I saw him (Hugo Lloris) go down and I waited a bit.
“I wasn't sure what to do, but luckily I scored! He went down very early."
The England international continued to reveal how impressed he was with Chelsea’s new signing Sterling, Koulibaly and Cucurella during their first derby for the Blues.

"It's always great to see new players helping out the team,” James continued.
“It's great to see them all on the pitch and taking their chance and contributing and wanting to win."
The wing-back finalised by stating that he believes Chelsea have what it takes to compete on all fronts this season despite a disappointing draw to Spurs.

He concluded by discussing their ambitions for the season, saying: "Without a doubt our aim is to win every competition, every match and I believe we have everything it takes to go all the way this season and walk away with some trophies.
"Our aim is to win, we're here to win and there's no reason why we can't win with our group of lads.
“I think it's a special team and one of the biggest clubs in the world. Every competition we're in we believe we can win and we're ready to show that."
