Chelsea are the biggest spenders in the Premier League’s summer transfer window, it has been revealed.
Thomas Tuchel was keen to bring in reinforcements in the summer, having lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
Romelu Lukaku also departed during the transfer window, with Timo Werner the latest name to leave Tuchel’s squad.

Discussing his team at the end of last season, Tuchel admitted that he would have a rebuild on his hands this summer.
"Players are going out. We are rebuilding,” he admitted.
"This is always challenging but we are up for the challenge. I don’t know where we are from day one. What I can promise is that I will be here if I can promise that! I will be here with full energy and positive energy no matter what.”

The Blues added Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly before jetting on their pre-season tour but Tuchel’s squad’s time in the United States did not go as planned as he was still searching for reinforcements.
Speaking during the Blues’ pre-season tour of America, and after they lost 4-0 to Arsenal, as quoted by football.london, Tuchel admitted that his squad from last season did not have enough to challenge.
He said: "Listen, it's the same players, so why should anything change?
“We will see hopefully development but at the moment, we have the same issues because we have the same players."
Since, Marc Cucurella has arrived along with Carney Chukwuemeka and Gabriel Slonina as Chelsea look to build for the future.

It has been revealed that Tuchel’s wishes are being granted, with Sky Sports showing that Chelsea are the highest spenders in the Premier League this summer.
The Blues have signed six players so far, coming to a total of £176.5 million during the transfer window.
This is above Arsenal, who sit in second by bringing in five players for £121.5 million.

The spending is not expected to stop there for Tuchel’s side, with Wesley Fofana, Frekie de Jong and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all linked with moves to Chelsea.
It is believed that the Blues are close to agreeing a fee for De Jong, which could be close to the £72 million that Manchester United had agreed to pay for the Dutchman earlier this summer.
Furthermore, they have seen two bids rejected for Wesley Fofana as the Blues could offer up to £80 million as they look to reinforce their backline.
It remains to be seen as to whether Chelsea will end the summer as the top spenders, but if the trend is to be followed then it looks likely that they will.
