Chelsea boss Graham Potter has discussed the potential of Thiago Silva extending his contract at the club.
The Brazilian would leave the Blues next summer should he not sign a new contract, having signed for the west London side in 2020.
He initially joined Chelsea on a two-year-deal, but put pen to paper on a one-year extension at the beginning of this year.

Silva is now working under his third head coach at Stamford Bridge, having now seen the departures of Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel.
Potter arrived at the beginning of September from Brighton and Hove Albion, and is now set to take charge of his fifth match for the side.
They will face AC Milan at the San Siro on Tuesday night in the group stages of the Champions League, having beaten the Serie A side on home soil last week.

Speaking to the media ahead of the clash, the head coach spoke on the prospect of Silva signing a new deal at the club.
"The decision is Thiago's," said Potter.
"All I can do is help him enjoy his football here, and the rest is for him and the club to think about."
Earlier in the conference he praised the Brazilian, who was featured in three out of four games under the coach.

"I've been here three or four weeks and I see his qualities. He is an incredible person and player.
"The performance levels he can reach and the amount of respect he has in the game is incredible."
Silva was rested for Chelsea's Premier League win against Wolves on Saturday afternoon, with the Blues winning 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Armando Broja all netted for the Blues, who now sit fourth in the table after eight games.
It followed their highly impressive victory against Milan earlier in the week, with the result taking them to second in Group E of the Champions League.
Chelsea had lost to Dinamo Zagreb and drawn against FC Salzburg prior to the tie and know a win on Tuesday night would take them one step closer to the last 16 of the competition.
The Blues will be without Wesley Fofana, Hakim Ziyech and N'Golo Kante for the trip to the Serie A Champions.

Kante was set to make a return to the side in recent weeks but has faced another setback, and has therefore still only made two appearances so far this season.
