Potter of course departed from the Seagulls in September to take the job at Stamford Bridge. The 47-year-old has revealed he is looking forward to the occasion but knows he may receive a mixed reception.
He started the season superbly with Brighton, with the highlight of this season coming on the opening day against Manchester United.
Since the arrival of his replacement, Roberto De Zerbi, things have not been so smooth sailing. In the last five Brighton are without a win, drawing twice and losing three.

De Zerbi will be hoping to claim a result against Potter, but it will have to be an impressive performance to stop the Englishman who could be about to break a Chelsea record.
A draw or better against Brighton would see Potter become the first English Chelsea manager to go his first ten games without defeat.
He levelled William Lewis from the 1906/07 season to go undefeated in his first nine games in the win against RB Salzburg.
Speaking about this before Saturday's game in his pre-match press conference, he revealed his main priority was focusing on the game.

He said: "I didn't know (about the statistic), it's nice but it's not something I'm too focused on. I just want to prepare the team, play well and try to win the game against Brighton, which will be tough enough. Focus is on the game.”
