Graham Potter has refused to comment on RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku undergoing a ‘secret medical’ with Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old, who signed a contract extension until 2026 with the German side back in June, has been linked with a switch away from the Bundesliga outfit with Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain all showing interest.
With a €60 million release clause active from next summer, work is already being done by interested clubs over his signature and Chelsea made the first major move in the summer.

Claims in Germany, backed up in England, stated that Nkunku carried out a secret medical in Frankfurt towards the end of a transfer window ahead of a potential transfer next summer.
A Chelsea orthopedist was in attendance during the cardiological medical check, putting the Blues in pole position for his signature, however it is far from complete.

Potter has already been told he will be backed in recruitment by the new owners, who are looking for a sporting director and technical director with talks ongoing over the two positions at Stamford Bridge to support the 47-year-old.
However, ahead of his first Premier League game in charge of Chelsea which comes against Crystal Palace, Potter was asked about the Nkunku links and his response was short but firm.
“My answer to that type of stuff is unless it’s a player for us, I don’t really speak about other players, So, no comment,” the Chelsea head coach said.

On the topic of transfers, before Potter left Brighton for Stamford Bridge he signed Billy Gilmour from the Blues on Deadline Day.
Gilmour’s luck was out when Potter shortly departed the Amex Stadium for the Scotsman’s former club.
Potter has backed Gilmour to still succeed down on the south coast even though it will be under a new manager.

He added: "I think the uncomfortable bit about it is the timing of my opportunity here so close after the window closed. That's never ideal. It's part of life in football but obviously I wish him well.
"My first impressions of him were that he's a top lad, a really good guy and we know the talent he's got, so hopefully, fingers crossed, he can do well there."
