Chelsea Women star Fran Kirby has revealed that the Blues’ owners are looking to ‘drive every aspect of the club’.
Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital acquired the west London side at the end of May, completing a deal worth £4.25 billion.
They have been at the club for a limited amount of time, but Chelsea’s new owners have already been quick to make an impression on the side.

Most notably, the men’s side had received great investment throughout the course of the summer transfer window, with the club spending over £250 million on new signings.
Attack and defence were the most notable areas of the pitch that were strengthened as Chelsea look to compete for more silverware over the coming months.
However, the custodians of the Blues are keen to improve all areas of the club in the search for success across the board.
Kirby spoke to The Times and revealed how the new owners are looking to improve Chelsea throughout all departments.

The attacking midfielder said: “The owners want to drive every aspect of the club.
“They want to drive us, drive the academy, drive the men’s team more.
“You can see that with the signings they’ve made, the money they’ve spent — not just for the men but for us as well.”

Kirby has won a multitude of honours at Chelsea since she joined from Reading in 2015, including numerous Women’s Super League titles and FA Women’s Cups.
She was also part of the England squad that won the Women’s Euros this summer, with the 29-year-old scoring two goals in the tournament.
The last few months have seen a lot of change at Chelsea, with the club now in the early stages of their new era.

One of the biggest changes at the club in recent weeks has been the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
The German was dismissed the morning after the men’s team lost 1-0 against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
Graham Potter was brought in as his replacement, having had a successful tenure on the south coast at Brighton and Hove Albion.
On the pitch, Chelsea have had a mixed start to the season in all competitions.

They have only won three games from their first eight fixtures, all of which have come in the Premier League as they sit sixth in the table.
