5 Things Learned: Chelsea 3-0 Wolves | Premier League

Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Armando Broja all scored in Chelsea's 3-0 win against Wolves.

Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Armando Broja all scored as Chelsea cruised past relegation zone battlers Wolves in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues established early control in this match and with Wolves struggling to hold onto possession they allowed the hosts to create multiple chances.

Despite creating a lot of opportunities, it looked as though the teams would head into the break goalless, but Chelsea finally found the breakthrough when Mason Mount picked out Havertz who looped a header over Jose Sa.

Havertz's goal was a huge relief and the west London side built on their lead in the second half, Mount slid Pulisic in behind lifted his striker over the goalkeeper to make it two.

As the half continued, the Blues were cruising their way to the finish, but they were not quite done scoring.

Armando Broja made it three in the 89th minute, scoring his first ever goal in a Chelsea shirt.

The result sees Graham Potter remain unbeaten in his time as Chelsea head coach, with three wins and one draw to his name.

Here are five things Absolute Chelsea learned from Saturday's win.

1) Better teams will punish Chelsea

Fortunately for the Blues, Wolves are the worst attacking team in the league, they have managed to score just three times this season. Their lack of confidence up top showed whenever they got forward, if it was a better team they could have easily punished Graham Potter's side.

2) Attacking combination of Mount, Havertz and Pulisic successful

All three Chelsea attackers on Saturday were involved in the goals and pivotal to the victory. For the opening goal, Mount sent a wonderful delivery into the box to find Havertz who converted with a super header. In the second half, Mount was once against the creator, this time slotting Pulisic in behind who coolly guided his strike over Sa. With both Aubameyang and Sterling rested, it is vital the Blues have other options to choose from who can score.

3) Good and justified decision from Potter to rotate and rest players

There were a total of seven changes from the Chelsea side that defeated AC Milan 3-0 in midweek in the Champions League. With another clash against the Italian giants to come on Tuesday, it was important that the Blues rotated against an out-of-form Wolves side but still got a good result. Sterling, Aubameyang and Thiago Silva all played no involvement which will mean they are fully rested for the game in Europe.

4) A massive week for Chelsea

After a stuttering start to the season, this week has restored some much needed rhythm. A last-minute winner against Crystal Palace last weekend was crucial, and the midweek win against Milan has put them in a better position in their group. With this victory over Wolves, it has been a perfect week for Chelsea. The result sees the Blues move back into the top four as well.

5) The Blues lacked composure and ruthlessness in the first half

Chelsea were largely dominant in the first half and until Havertz latched onto a cross from Mount to score, a lot of chances had been wasted. Pulisic had a handful of chances that he did not make the most of in the opening 45, Azpilicueta swung in some fantastic deliveries from the right-hand side that weren't capitalised on. In the second half, there was an improvement, Pulisic took his goal
