The FA has opened an investigation into Thomas Tuchel’s comments about referee Anthony Taylor following the 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
It was a London derby that was filled with controversy as Spurs netted deep into stoppage time, courtesy of Harry Kane, to snatch a point in west London to deny the Blues of all three points.
Chelsea thought they had won it, but Antonio Conte’s side ensured it wasn’t another defeat on the road to their city counterparts.

But after goals from Kalidou Koulibaly and Reece James, Chelsea were aggrieved that goals for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg were allowed to stand.
The hosts believed that Kai Havertz was fouled in the build-up to Spurs’ first leveller as Hojbjerg found the bottom corner. Richarlison was also in an offside position which Chelsea felt affected Edouard Mendy’s sighting of the strike at goal.
Meanwhile, Kane’s stoppage time equaliser came from a corner which involved an incident between Cristian Romero and Marc Cucurella, where the latter’s hair was pulled by the Spurs defender.

No further action has been taken by the FA for that incident.
VAR agreed with the on-field decisions of all the incidents, which left Tuchel furious at full-time.
He told Chelsea TV: "The referee had a huge say and unfortunately everything went in the opposite direction so, both goals should never, never stand, never for me. It’s incredible and unbelievable how this can happen in the times we are in.

"The first goal is offside, not to speak about the foul on Kai in the possession build-up towards the goal. But the goal itself is a clear, clear, clear offside from Richarlison.
"The second one, in the build-up, is an absolutely fair challenge from Reece on Harry Kane, they get a very, very dangerous position for a free-kick and from that they get the corners.
“Then when is it allowed to pull hair of opponents? If this is not a red card, if we check and the player can stay and can take the decisive corner, I’m sorry this is without words."

When asked about fans’ concerns of Taylor, he added: “Not only the fans. You know the players, they know what’s going on when they are on the pitch. They know it.”
The Chelsea head coach was also questioned about whether the squad are worried about Taylor when he takes charge of their games. He continued: “Yeah, of course.”
Now the German’s comments are being investigated by the Football Association and the Chelsea head coach will now wait to learn whether he has been punished for his post-match words.
He was also sent off for his touchline altercation with Antonio Conte at full-time.
