West Ham are closing in on a deal to sign Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea, while Trevoh Chalobah is gaining more interest, according to reports.
With all of the incomings and expected arrivals, outgoings are on the agenda for Thomas Tuchel as he looks to shape his squad for 2022-23 before the summer transfer window closes on 1 September.
Chelsea signed Marc Cucurella from Brighton, putting the futures of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri into uncertainty.

Alonso looked to be joining Barcelona but interest has cooled, while Emerson has received interest from West Ham, Atalanta and Nottingham Forest.
Talks were ongoing with West Ham and a fee was close to being agreed, but personal terms were a problem and it looked as though a transfer would be off the table.
Now a deal has been revived and discussions have resumed, and as reported by Fabrizio Romano, an agreement is ‘closing’.
A fee of around £13 million plus £2 million in add-ons is being negotiated between the clubs, with personal terms ongoing.

Emerson is claimed to have wanted an increase to £95,000-a-week from his £70,000-a-week wages at Chelsea, as per the Evening Standard.
More details will be clarified and finalised over the weekend which will be hoped to be ironed out before a deal can be reached and confirmed.
With Emerson’s future nearing a resolution, Trevoh Chalobah could also follow him out of the club this summer although it would be on a loan basis.

The 23-year-old has received interest from Inter Milan with concerns over his potential reduced game time this season should Wesley Fofana join from Leicester City.
More signings at the back are only likely to block Chalobah’s pathway even more which is why clubs are monitoring his situation.
Now Inter Milan have been joined by two more clubs, as reported by Nizaar Kinsella, with Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma also interested.
Chelsea don’t want to sell him permanently but are prepared to let him leave on loan if another defender arrives. He has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2026 which gives Thomas Tuchel’s side control and leverage in negotiations.

The Chelsea head coach was asked about departures this summer and he made an honest admission of wanting his players to remain due to their schedule.
He said: “We will not encourage our players to go out in the moment. We had now two training sessions with 18 players. In a schedule where we play once a week it is not a problem.
“If I look a little bit, the chin up a little bit and look at the schedule that is coming with Southampton during the week and two Champions League matches, it’s coming. It’s in front of the door. We will need a lot of players and quality players to be competitive.
“At the moment, like I said, we have what we have. We know what we’re looking for. From there we go and only from there we can think about letting players go.”
