Chelsea have made the decision not to make a move for Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo this summer after discussions between Thomas Tuchel and co-owner Todd Boehly, according to reports.
The 37-year-old wants to leave Old Trafford this summer after they failed to qualify for the 2022-23 Champions League, however United insisted he wasn’t for sale.
Erik ten Hag said earlier this month: "Cristiano is not for sale. He is in our plans. We want success together.

"I had a good talk. That is between Cristiano and me, what I can confirm is we had a really good conversation together."
Ronaldo had been offered to clubs across Europe by his agent, Jorge Mendes, including Chelsea and a decision was left with head coach Thomas Tuchel over whether or not they would make a move for him this summer.
And it has now been reported that Chelsea have made the decision not to pursue their interest in the Portuguese star.

Following discussions over Ronaldo, Tuchel wants to focus on the team rather than the individual.
He believes Raheem Sterling better fits the bill, whose arrival was confirmed on Wednesday evening from Manchester City.
As per reports, there was a view that Ronaldo could have stolen some of the limelight from Sterling, who Chelsea view as a dressing room leader and marquee signing.
While in Los Angeles where Chelsea are training during their pre-season tour of America, Tuchel confirmed that a striking addition wasn’t a priority following the signing of Sterling.

He told Sky Sports: "I would not rule it out (signing another striker) but right now it is not the priority. The priority right now is defence, it's not a secret. From there we need to see what's possible.
"We're competing against the two top teams but Tottenham did a very active and aggressive and early transfer period, they have maybe the strongest squad they ever had with one of the best coaches in the world, Man Utd are never shy of recruiting with a new coach and Arsenal had some big signings already so we need to keep the level up to be competitive."

Tuchel is aware that Chelsea need to make key signings to improve the squad and keep competing with Manchester City and Liverpool, but Ronaldo won’t be one of them this summer.
He added: "It's no secret we lost top players and we need to replace them.
"Even if they'd have stayed, we needed improvement to close the gap so we need now even more.
"We have top players and even more importantly we have a top team.

"But if we bring players in we need top quality with top character and then you're talking about the very, very best who play this game.”
