Chelsea are still unbeaten under Potter - winning five, drawing three - and should that continue on Tuesday night, it will either seal or edge them closer to their European fate which will be to put them in the last-16.
Salzburg avoided defeat at Stamford Bridge last month when the two sides met in west London, and the reverse fixture is a crucial outing for them.
Matthias Jaissle's side will be eager to get a result against the two-time Champions League winners to boost their chances of finishing inside the top two to progress.

What has been said ahead of the game?
Chelsea head coach Graham Potter isn’t being complacent as he prepares his side for the European encounter in Austria. They need a win to guarantee progression, while a draw will edge them ever closer.
After their two wins over AC Milan, they are in a commanding position but Potter wants his side to finish the job on Tuesday night.

He told Chelsea TV: “The group looks a little different absolutely because of the results we've had, we had a really tough game against them at Stamford Bridge in the first game that I had. So I’ll always remember that experience.
“We’ve put ourselves into a better position because of the results against Milan, but at the same time we know we need to finish the job and we need to get more points. We haven’t got enough as it is. So we face a tough opponent, but you know we’re going to get there motivated and we’ll give our best.
“My expectations for the game are, another tough match, they have a clear idea of how they want to play, clear idea in terms of attacking and defending, very intense, very direct, incredibly well organised, good players. So it’s a top team. It’s a good team. We need to be good to play and we need to be brave and we need to try to bring our game to the match.”
