Chelsea head physio Thierry Laurent is to leave the club following his ‘shock’ dismissal by co-owner Todd Boehly, according to reports.
The news comes as the Blues continue to reshape their staffing, with the new ownership now overseeing a number of changes since they took over the club at the end of May.
Laurent had been working with the first team at Chelsea for 17 years, with the former French Olympic physio then becoming head of the department at Stamford Bridge back in 2014.

However, he is now set to leave the club, and follows the departure of a fellow medical employee at the west London side.
It was recently revealed that medical chief Paco Biosca would be leaving the Blues, having spent just over a decade at the club.
Their exits are just the latest to take place at Graham Potter’s side as the new ownership restructure the Premier League outfit for the years to come.
According to The Athletic, Laurent was informed of the decision via a Zoom call with co-owner Boehly on Tuesday.

The physio is said to have been shocked by the news, and was also told that the club’s custodians are keen to hire their own person for the now vacant role.
After reaching the 100 day mark at the club, Chelsea’s owners conducted a review of the entire setup in west London.
Earlier in the summer, board members such as Bruce Buck, Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech all left their respective roles, signalling some changes at the top.
However, one of the biggest decisions of them all was the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel as head coach.

The German was relieved of his duties at Chelsea the morning after their Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb, and he was soon replaced by former Brighton boss Potter.
He has only been in charge of one game at the club so far, but the 47-year-old has already had work to do off the pitch in recent days.
Anthony Barry arrived as a coach at Chelsea during Frank Lampard’s time as boss, but stayed at the club when the latter was sacked.

Barry still remains at Stamford Bridge despite the dismissal of Tuchel, and is set to continue his duties with the new boss.
Over the last week or so, the 36-year-old was linked with the vacant manager role at Huddersfield Town, although no official approach was made.
Despite the links, Potter is keen to keep him at Chelsea, although Barry himself will have the final say over his future.
It remains to be seen if there will be any more staff changes at the Blues, who are set to return to action on Saturday following the conclusion of the international break.
