Chelsea have been handed a boost over Wesley Fofana’s knee injury, while N’Golo Kante has a decision to make over his future at the club.
Fofana scored his first goal for Chelsea on Wednesday night since joining the club in the summer from Leicester City. He netted the opener in their convincing 3-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge.
The first-half was going so well for the France international… until he landed awkwardly on his knee during a tussle with Rafael Leao. The 21-year-old was unable to continue and was replaced by Trevoh Chalobah.

There was serious concern shown by head coach Graham post-match, who admitted: We’ll have to scan it tomorrow and see how it is. Nothing to report at the moment. That’s the one disappointment of the evening.”
He added: "Fingers crossed. I wouldn't want to speculate on it now but we're concerned and hope for the best."
Fofana left Stamford Bridge on crutches and in a knee brace, highlighting the concern ahead of his scan on Thursday.
But Chelsea were left with good news after the results returned. Fofana, as per several reports, has sprained his knee.

He could be sidelined for around four to six weeks, which may see him not return until after the World Cup.
As Chelsea are left relieved with Fofana’s injury status, fellow Frenchman N’Golo Kante’s future is still to be decided.
He is out of contract at the end of the season and despite an offer already being made, no agreement has been struck between the two parties yet.

According to Footmercato in France, Kante doesn’t think Chelsea will offer him an extension. He wants to remain in London, which has surfaced links to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
L’Equipe adds Kante will take his time to make a decision over his future, but his preference would be to stay at Chelsea.
Kante has been out with a hamstring injury since August but could make his return in the upcoming games after returning to training at Cobham.
"It’s just a case of building him up. And it won’t be a case of when he is fit, he can play 90 minutes every three days," admitted Potter.

"We have to be careful with how we build his minutes up and that is the next challenge.
"It is ok rehabilitating but it’s game time and how he gets game time in the Premier League. And that is bit by bit.
"We are under control of that and we will do our best.”
