Chelsea have been handed a fresh update regarding their Premier League clash against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge next weekend.
They had their league game against Fulham postponed on Saturday following the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II as they opted to stop play to mark her honour and pay respect to the 96-year-old's death.
Chelsea have just appointed a new head coach - Graham Potter - this week and his wait for his first game in charge will have to wait until next week when they face FC Salzburg in the Champions League on Wednesday night in the capital.

But when Potter's first league fixture in the Chelsea dugout will be remains unclear. They are schedule to face Liverpool next Sunday in west London, but there have been major concerns expressed over the safety of staging events in London due to the Queen's state funeral.

The Premier League has been told by the DCMS and Met Police that games will be able to go ahead if they wish and it can be safely policed.
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport re-iterated their stance, saying: "Our guidance will stay the same. There's no obligation to cancel as far as the government is concerned.
"But it's ultimately up to the Premier League and EFL to make those decisions."
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Police also told Football.London that it's down to the relevant authorities before they then aid with appropriate policing plans.

They added: "Whether matches go ahead is a matter for the football authorities.
"If fixtures do take place, the Met will work with the relevant partners and ensure that appropriate policing plans are in place."
Now, John Cross of the Mirror reports that Premier League fixtures are set to resume next weekend, with the league set to follow the EFL who are restarting their fixtures from Tuesday.
It's claimed the Premier League will try to get as many games played as possible, but there are concerns over the major challenge of London games due to police offers being on standby for the funeral in the capital on Monday.

This could see Chelsea's home game against Liverpool in doubt, however it's not confirmed as of yet as to whether the game will go ahead.
The report further claims the 'TV companies, clubs and Premier League are desperate to get the games on and will look at different options, potentially moving kick-offs and switching days have been discussed'.
