Chelsea have completed the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona, it has been confirmed.
The 33-year-old joins the Blues on Deadline Day to bolster Thomas Tuchel’s attacking line at Chelsea after Chelsea agreed a transfer for the Gabon international, which will see Marcos Alonso move in the other direction as a free agent.
Alonso’s time at Chelsea comes to an end after joining in 2016 which has seen him make 211 appearances for the Blues. During that time he has won the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, Club World Cup, Super Cup and Premier League.
The Spain international was wanted by Barcelona and a move has been finalised which sees Aubameyang pen a two-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
He spoke of his delight at joining the Blues, telling the official Chelsea website: "I’m really happy. It’s an honour to be part of this team and I can’t wait to start.

Aubameyang will add some much-needed firepower to Chelsea's front-line, but he will have to wait for his debut after suffering a broken jaw in a recent robbery of his home in Barcelona.
He will add competition to Kai Havertz and Armando Broja in the centre-forward spot.

Barcelona have confirmed that Chelsea will pay a fee of €12 million for Aubameyang this summer.

Alonso's move to Spain is set to be confirmed on Friday morning after he was released from his Chelsea contract.
But Tuchel has his man. Now it's time for Aubameyang and Tuchel to both deliver after being handed the backing from the new owners.
