The moment that sparked Thomas Tuchel’s interest in Everton youngster Anthony Gordon has been revealed amid his speculated move to Chelsea this summer.
Over the past couple of weeks, Gordon has been linked with a move to the Blues after an impressive few months for the Toffees at Goodison Park.
His signing would be part of a shakeup in the Chelsea attack this season, with Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner already departing the club.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Hakim Ziyech are also speculated to be leaving this summer.
Raheem Sterling has been the club’s only attacking signing so far this window, although this could be set to change amid the interest in striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Gordon could be ready to make the switch from Merseyside to London this summer as Chelsea look to work on a deal.
Tuchel is thought to be very keen on the 21-year-old, and the moment that is said to have triggered his interest has now been revealed.

According to Mail Plus, the clash between the two sides towards the end of last season saw Gordon make a huge impression on the German manager.
Everton beat Chelsea 1-0 thanks to Richarlison’s goal, three points that proved to be crucial as they eventually secured their Premier League survival.
Tuchel is said to have been impressed with the winger’s attitude and speed on the ball, and the Blues boss believes he’d be able to work well with him.
In fact, the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge back in December, in which Gordon assisted Everton’s equaliser, was the youngster’s initial game that impressed Tuchel.

However, it is said that the match at the start of May was ‘decisive’ in the manager’s judgement of the player.
As it stands, Chelsea would be ready to pay up to £60 million for Gordon this summer.
Everton have already rejected an offer in excess of £40 million for their player, although this has not put the Blues off a potential move.

The player himself wants the transfer, and Chelsea are optimistic that a move can take place.
A deal could see the west London side pay an initial £50 million with an extra £10 million worth of add-ons.
He could be one of three new players to make the switch to Stamford Bridge this summer, as they look to sign Aubameyang from Barcelona.
They are also showing interest in Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, who has been left out of the Foxes' squad for their clash against Chelsea this weekend.
