What I'm A Celeb producer whispered to Nigel Farage after he came third behind Tony Bellew and Sam Thompson

What did they whisper?

An I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! producer whispered in Nigel Farage’s ear after he came third to Tony Bellew and Sam Thompson in the ITV show.

Made In Chelsea star Thompson was crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday night after being voted this year's I'm A Celebrity winner.

The 31-year-old, who was the bookmakers’ odds-on favourite to win, held off competition from boxer Bellew and former UKIP and Brexit Party leader Farage in the reality show's final.

Former heavyweight Bellew came second, with Farage - who is the show’s best-ever paid contestant with a £1.5million fee - in third.

Thompson said he was "really overwhelmed" by his win, adding: "I didn't think I was even going to be invited onto this show, let alone be sat here [on the winner's throne].

"I am so grateful, thank you so much. I've dreamed of doing this show and being invited on for years and years, and you've just made a boy's dream come true."

After Farage was informed of his third-place finish, a producer appeared and said something to the politician.

Viewers took to X, formally Twitter, to question what was being said, with one writing: "Me with the sound on full blast trying to understand what the producer said to Nigel."

A second added: "Oh dear the producer talking to Nigel I wonder what was said."

However, some viewers reckon they were able to catch exactly what was being told to the politician. One person said: “Ironic that the woman producer whispered to Nigel 'you must remain'."

Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after being announced in third, Farage said: “I’m absolutely thrilled, not everyone likes the stuff I’ve campaigned for and stood for over the years but we are all entitled to an opinion and I’m a human being like anyone else.

“I hope this programme has shown I’m as human as anyone else.”

Asked why he had signed up for the show this year, Farage added: “I had time to do it and I’m 60 next birthday and going to reach an age where you can’t do it.

“This is very physical, bringing buckets of water, doing the challenges, so now was the right time to do it and I’m very pleased I did. I did my best to show no fear at all in the challenges.”
