Neymar fined £2.6 million by Brazilian authorities because of his house

It's a good job the PSG forward has plenty of money because he's been given a huge fine in South America.

Neymar has been given a huge fine back home in Brazil, for changes he made to the mansion that have failed to meet local regulations.

It's fair to say that Neymar isn't short a couple of quid, with the PSG star believed to have been the second highest paid player in Europe earlier this year.

In fact with Lionel Messi on the verge of moving to MLS there's a chance that he could be bumped up to number one ahead of next season.

Behind Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo he's actually the third highest earning athlete on the planet, even considering the huge wages those in the NBA and NFL are on.

No matter where he actually stands in the pantheon of wage earners there's little doubt that the 31-year-old doesn't exactly need a hand out.

Despite that one fan has decided to leave all of his possessions to the Brazil forward, with the ill supporter saying he has no one else to leave his things too.

Maybe it'll eventually help the former Barcelona man pay off his fine after authorities in Brazil revealed he'd been fined £2.6 million, as per Sky News.

The punishment is for breaching environmental rules on his new luxury home, located in Mangaratiba, Brazil, after moving freshwater, rocks and sand to build a beach.

In a statement mentioning 'dozens of infractions,' authorities listed: "Carrying out work subject to environmental control without authorisation, capture and diversion of river water without authorisation, and removal of land and suppression of vegetation without authorisation."

Construction was stopped last month as authorities cordoned off the project as they began the investigation ahead of him being fined.

A complaint against the building had originally come following a post on social media from the PSG forward showing off the illegal man made beach.

Perhaps the former Santos star will have to make another public apology, having recently made one to pregnant girlfriend Bruna Biancardi.

There were reports in South America that the footballer had cheated on the influencer and despite the incident not being confirmed he did issue an apology.

Not just mother earth that he has problems with then, but the mother of his unborn child...
