Fabrizio Romano dropped an update on Kim Min-jae’s future amid reports the Napoli centre-back has agreed to a summer move to Manchester United.
Erik ten Hag has been tipped to make significant changes to his squad in the off-season, after a mixed first season in charge at Old Trafford. One position that needs addressing is the defence, with the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelöf facing uncertain futures.
And according to Italian outlet Il Mattino, United have convinced Kim to move to Old Trafford, with just the final details needing to be completed.

Meanwhile, Foot Mercato reported that United have offered the South Korean international a “colossal” salary to secure his signature, and the defender “dreams” of playing in the Premier League.
And transfer guru Romano has now provided an update on the situation.
Romano on Kim Min-jae's future
Romano claimed that while Kim has long been admired by United’s recruitment team, the club are yet to have secured an agreement for the 26-year-old.

Indeed, Kim allegedly has a release clause just shy of £50million.
The Italian journalist said: “Kim Min-Jae, on Manchester United's list since December — but nothing is agreed or decided at this stage.
“The release clause will only be valid in July, Man United are interested while Napoli are still offering Kim a new deal.”
Kim has played a central role in Napoli’s surge to the Scudetto - their first Serie A triumph in some 33 years.

The South Korean has played all bar two of the side’s 35 games, with Napoli boasting the second-best defence in Europe’s top five leagues, behind La Liga champions Barcelona.
Kim only joined Napoli last year in a £15million deal. Yet, Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claimed that Luciano Spalletti's side would accept a bid of €60 million (around £53 million) to sell the player.
