Darren Bent has claimed that Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp was a better player than his Manchester United counterpart Eric Cantona.
There is no doubt that both men have legendary status for their contributions to the Premier League in the 90s and early 00s.
The pair both won multiple Premier League titles with their teams and it was no surprise this week when they were named amongst the six players voted onto the new Hall of Fame.

On talkSPORT, Bent claimed that both Bergkamp, and former Gunners' teammate Thierry Henry, were better than Cantona, much to the annoyance of co-host and United fan Andy Goldstein.
Cantona won the Premier League four times with Sir Alex Ferguson's team and had previously won the final First Division title with Leeds United.

The Frenchman was the catalyst for the success that United had in the early years of the league and in four of his five seasons at Old Trafford won the title.
The only season United didn't win that title during the stretch was when he was suspended for attacking a fan. There is a very good argument he is the single most influential and important player in Premier League history, but it doesn't mean he was better than Bergkamp.
The Dutchman also had incredible success in England with Arsenal. He was signed by Bruce Rioch in 1995 but it was under Arsene Wenger where he made his mark.

Bergkamp won three league titles at Highbury Stadium and was part of the incredible Invincibles team in the 2003/04 season.
His partnership with Henry is one of the best in the league's history and his goals against both Newcastle United and Leicester City are two of the best ever.
It really is tough to separate them!
