Juan Cuadrado scored a brilliant opening goal for Juventus but the Old Lady threw away a two goal lead as they drew 2-2 away against Atletico Madrid.
Juventus are once again desperate to end their barren run without winning the Champions League and Cuadrado's goal, at the beginning of the second half, put them 1-0 up before Blaise Matuidi made it 2-0 after 65 minutes.
If Maurizio Sarri thought that his side were on their way to a famous 2-0 opening matchday win in Madrid then he was very much mistaken.

Stefan Savic pulled the first one back after 70 minutes and, with time ticking away, Hector Herrera made it 2-2 as the 90 minutes became injury time.
It was heartbreak for the Serie A champions and hinted that their fortunes in the Champions League aren't going to change any time soon.

Elsewhere in Group D Lokomotiv Moscow surprised Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. Former West Brom loanee Grzegorz Krychowiak but the visitors in front before Benedikt Höwedes scored an own goal to make it 1-1.

Dmitri Barinov scored in the 37th minute to put Lokomotiv ahead and they held on till the end, despite the home side having 78% possession and 17 shots, to the visitors eight shots.
