Thiago Silva's wife blasts reports that Chelsea transfer has been agreed

Thiago Silva's wife blasts reports that Chelsea transfer has been agreed

Silva will depart Chelsea at the end of the season - but hasn't agreed to join a new club just yet.

Thiago Silva's wife has furiously denied reports that the Chelsea defender has agreed to join another club.

The Brazil international will leave Stamford Bridge next month after four years at the club, which saw him win three trophies including the Champions League in 2021.

Silva announced the news in an emotional message posted on the club's social media accounts.

The 39-year-old added that he will still have a connection with the Blues through his sons, who currently play for the club's youth teams.

He said: "I hope they can continue their careers here at this victorious club that many players wish to be part of."

Since his announcement, the former AC Milan and PSG star has been linked with a number of clubs - including three Premier League sides.

TNT Sports Brasil claim that Silva has received offers from three 'London-based clubs', although their identities have not been reported.

Meanwhile, Brazilian outlet Globo even claimed that the defender had agreed a two-year deal to rejoin former club Fluminense, rejecting offers from the Saudi Pro League in the process.

But taking to Instagram, Silva's wife Isabelle da Silva has denied that her husband has agreed to join any club at this stage.

She wrote (translation via talkSPORT): "Help me help you! You don't know anything!

"This anxiety is getting in the way of things that could work out! You're getting in the way! Stop posting false information!"

Before the defender does leave Stamford Bridge, he will hope to help Mauricio Pochettino's side secure a return to European football for next season - but may have to do so from the sidelines.

They can still finish as high as sixth, which would guarantee Europa League football for next season, and are five points behind sixth-placed Newcastle with four games to play, including a game in hand on their rivals.

The Blues helped their pursuit with a 2-0 win over Tottenham on Thursday.

However, Silva had to miss that game after suffering a groin injury in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa. The London Evening Standard report there are fears that he may have played his last match for the Blues.
