Chelsea and Inter Milan could see up to six players swapped between the two sides, as Mauricio Pochettino begins his clear out.

It was a complete s***show of a season for Chelsea over the past 10 months, as Todd Boehly got through three managers in his debut campaign as owner.

With preparation for next season now well underway new manager Mauricio Pochettino has to sort out which of the players in his massive squad he wants to get rid of.

That's more important than who the Blues will bring in right now due to the FFP rules that they have to adhere to, and that's why they're trying to sell Mason Mount sharpish.

The squad at Stamford Bridge was so over inflated last season that some players even ended up changing outside of the changing rooms at the training ground.

Pochettino will no doubt want to bring in his own players as well, which makes the need to let players go even more important.

One such star on his radar is reportedly Andre Onana, with the Inter goalkeeper impressing on the team's route to the Champions League final.

In order to persuade the Italian side to let him go there have been reports of Romelu Lukaku being used in a swap deal, with the Nerazzurri struggling to afford to bring in the striker permanently after his loan spell back at the San Siro.

But they might not be the only players swapping places, with Calciomercato reporting that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was in London on Wednesday to discuss other moves with the west London side.

Inter are reportedly also interested in bringing Kalidou Koulibaly back to Italy, just a year after he left Napoli to move to the Premier League.

English players Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah are also thought to be targets for the Italian giants, with Chelsea happy to consider letting the squad players go.

On the other side of the ledger is Denzel Dumfries, who has been linked with a move to Pochettino's team despite them being stacked at right back with Reece James and Malo Gusto.

Inter are expected to need to sell some of their assets this summer and Chelsea face competition from Manchester United for their first choice keeper target.

Nicolo Barella has also been linked with a move away from the city of Milan, with Newcastle United heavily interested in the midfielder.
