Anthony Martial has shared a series of holiday snaps on his Instagram account as he mulls over his future in football.

The Manchester United forward's future is unclear, with his club form inconsistent and United searching for a new forwaard.

He's had an up-and-down period with the Red Devils, initially bursting onto the scene as a teenager but struggling since in his eight years at the club.

He's managed to net 87 times during that period, but he played just 29 games last season, scoring nine times as he failed to earn a consistent run in the side.

He has one year remaining on his deal, but may still leave the club this summer.

Martial chilled out on a balcony, shirt unbuttoned, as he took in the sights after jetting abroad during the off season.

United supporters piled in on the comments on his two posts, urging him to kick on next season and prove the doubters wrong.

"You don't know ball if you don't rate Tony," one Instagram user said.

Another added: "Please stay!" while a third posted: "My goat."

It wasn't all rosy, however. On the posts - which had comments limited - one fan posted: "Please leave United. I'm begging you. I'll give you a ride wherever and whenever."

A second said: "The only time you're fit you're on vacation."

United boss Erik ten Hag is an admirer of Martial, but admitted that he's struggled to get the Frenchman fit and available.

“If you are not available, you can’t score," the Dutchman said last season.

"When he was available we played better, the team is winning games, he’s also scoring goals but he has to be available.”

Martial has been linked with both Sevilla, where he spent a brief period on loan during the 2021-22 season, and Aston Villa, but he could remain at United to provide back-up and competition for a potential incoming forward next term.
