Eddie Hearn says Katie Taylor wants a superfight with MMA monster Cris Cyborg.

Taylor has been a huge pioneer for women's boxing, becoming a two-weight world champion and taking ownership of all four titles in the lightweight division after turning professional four years ago.

The undefeated Irish fighter will square off against Delfine Persoon in a huge headline rematch at Matchroom's Fight Camp on August 22 but promoter Hearn says she's already got Bellator women's featherweight champ Cyborg in her sights.

"She wants Persoon, she wants Serrano, she wants Braekhus, she wants Cyborg. I'm not saying she's done after that, but that's what motivates her," Hearn said to Irish Boxing.

And it seems like Cyborg, who has expressed an interest in switching from MMA to boxing, is very much onboard with the idea judging by her reaction on Twitter.

It would be a huge cross-over fight if it can be arranged at some point down the line, with respected MMA referee John McCarthy deeming it to be the female equivalent of Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor.

He told Sky Sports: "For Cris to step into the realm of fighting a boxer like Katie Taylor, it's a tall order.

"That's a Conor McGregor trying to take on a Floyd Mayweather. That's usually not going to go good for you. The same as if Katie Taylor tried to step into a MMA ring. That's not going well for her against Cris Cyborg.

"If Cris is going to do boxing, obviously she's got to have a name she's going against, but I would say 'pick a name that's not quite Katie Taylor!'"

Cyborg has also been very vocal about wanting a rematch with dominant UFC double champ Amanda Nunes, the only fighter to beat her in her seven-fight stint inside the Octagon.

In April, the 35-year old urged Dana White to make a cross-promotion bout happen.
