Benjamin Sesko has already made his feelings clear on the prospect of moving to Manchester United.

On Sunday, Arsenal reclaimed the Premier League’s top spot by edging past United 1-0, courtesy of Leandro Trossard’s goal midway through the first half.

The Old Trafford faithful would have been concerned by their latest showing, with Erik ten Hag’s men having been dispatched 4-0 at Crystal Palace just days earlier.

However, fans may be more heartened by matters that took place off the pitch, after RB Leipzig star Sesko’s agent was spotted in the stands.

Elvis Basanovic, of the Pro Transfer Agency, uploaded a photo of himself at Old Trafford to Instagram.

“Just an ordinary day in the Premier League office,” he wrote.

United are likely to target a striker this summer, with Rasmus Hojlund having struggled with the burden of being the club’s only fit forward for much of the campaign.

Sesko was heavily linked to United back in 2021, while former interim coach Ralf Rangnick recommended the attacker to the club.

However, he joined RB Leipzig from RB Salzburg in 2023 instead of moving to Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old’s development has since continued at pace, with the player having netted 17 goals in 41 appearances this term.

In September 2023, when asked about United’s interest, Sesko told Transfermarkt: “The thing is, I wasn’t really involved in these kinds of conversations.

“But I think it was better to come here. It was very important for me to go to a place that plays a similar style of football.

“I already knew what I had to do and didn’t have to go through a whole learning process again.”

Whether Sesko, who is said to have a £60million release clause, would be open to a Premier League move so early in his Bundesliga career remains to be seen.
