Manchester United fans infuriated after noticing what Erik ten Hag did immediately after defeat vs Crystal Palace

Erik ten Hag has infuriated fans

Erik ten Hag has infuriated Manchester United fans with his actions at full-time of the defeat against Crystal Palace.

United suffered an embarrassing defeat at Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace sealed their first league double over the European hopefuls.

Manchester United transfer target Michael Olise netted twice white Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell completed the rout.

Palace were all over United from the first minute and fully deserved their victory, condemning Ten Hag’s side to their 13th league defeat of the season for the first time in Premier League history.

After a shameful performance, the United players went over to the traveling fans to applaud them for their fantastic support despite the defeat.

However, according to users on X, Ten Hag was not present and went straight down the tunnel rather than apologising to the fans for such a dismal showing.

Fans were infuriated by Ten Hag’s actions and believe the writing could be on the wall for the manager amid links to the vacant Bayern Munich job.

One fan said: “Yeah he’s gone,” while another added “Have some shame. Awful behaviour.”

Another supporter said: “Genuinely starting to dislike him outside of his job title. That’s a disgrace.”

Jamie Carragher praised the United supporters and claimed the players did not deserve the reaction they received.

He said on Sky Sports: “That is absolutely fantastic from the United fans because those players do not deserve that.

“If they go off thinking it wasn't as bad as we think because look at the supporters' reaction. Look at that. That is unbelievable support from those lads and girls."

No decision on Ten Hag’s future is believed to have been made by new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Speculation has intensified in recent weeks that ex-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel could be in the frame to replace the Dutchman if United decide to part ways this summer.
